Yr 10/11 Rugby Victory
The year 10/11 Rugby Team signed off the season in style with a 32-20 victory over Oxclose. Due to exams starting for some year 11s we fielded a slightly weakened side but those that remained stepped up and made sure that our quality was not affected.
The game was the end of a series of tournaments that have taken place throughout the year. The PE department hope that this is a strong foundation for future years participating in rugby regularly. The year 11s who will be leaving Southmoor this summer and have therefore played their last game for the school are:
Noah Scott
Rohan Cass Evans
Harry Wallace
Kai Brown – who was recognised at the end of the tournament for his outstanding contribution to the team and was presented with an award.
These boys are playing club rugby outside of school and will surely go on to be successful on and off the field.
