Standard Lunch Offering
Many pupils enjoy having lunch with friends in our restaurant where they can relax and eat healthily. A range of hot and cold dishes and snacks can be purchased at set prices. Our restaurant and food stations are open at break and lunchtimes. Only Years 11, 10 and 9 pupils are permitted to remain in the restaurant and use the seating there over break time, though all year groups may purchase food at this time.
Satellite food stations may also occasionally open on our main yard to dispense reward related treats at Break or Lunchtime.
Pupils are supervised at lunchtimes by our team of lunchtime supervisors, senior staff and active lunchtime staff. Year 7-11 pupils are not permitted to leave the premises during lunchtime.
Sixth form pupils may leave for lunch but must sign out and back in upon their return. They are expected to return to our school site within the designated lunch and break periods.
The school operates a cashless biometrics system to pay for school lunches, using fingerprint recognition. Parents/Carers must manage top-ups to their child’s lunch account using the web-based ‘ParentPay’ platform. Unique log in details will be issued to all parents in September.
Pupils who are in receipt of free school meals have their accounts topped up automatically on a daily basis. Pupils are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch.
Menus of what is being served on any particular day are available outside each food outlet, with a large variety of food, including vegetarian and Halal options available everyday.
