Pupils on the Pitch at SoL
An amazing opportunity arose for six Southmoor students to be flag bearers for Sunderland AFC against Rotherham. The lucky six students were chosen because of their outstanding behaviour in school. Our on-pitch ambassadors were a credit to the school and did an excellent job in welcoming both teams on to the pitch. Once finished they got to enjoy the match in comfort in a padded seat from the West Stand. All went home jubilant after the once in a lifetime experience as well as watching Sunderland score another late goal to secure a 1-1 draw.
