Exploration & Discovery in the Lakes
A group of Southmoor and Sandhill View students headed off on our first combined Derwent Hill trip this week. It was a five day residential to complete their John Muir Award which covers discovering, exploring and also conserving wild places. They challenged themselves on the ‘Death Swing’ and with gorge walking, kayaking, canoeing, high ropes and mountain hiking. They finished the trip toasting marshmallows around a camp fire!
