National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the wonderful world of Apprenticeships and shines a light on the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the country. The theme this year is ‘Build the Future’. Apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular route for students after Year 11 and Year 13 and there are many different types of apprenticeships and sectors where you can complete an apprenticeship. Mr Wareham delivered assemblies this week to explain to students exactly what an apprenticeship is and why it is a route that is worth considering in the future. During lesson times, all students had the opportunity to find out about the different apprenticeship opportunities available by studying each subject.
In addition, during Form Activities, students completed a short quiz to find out more about apprenticeships and watched a video about the world of apprenticeships. The latest apprenticeship vacancies are always included in our weekly Careers Bulletin which is included in this blog. To find out more about apprenticeships, visit our dedicated pages on the school website and have a look at the details in this letter. Mrs Robinson, our Careers Advisor, is always available to discuss apprenticeships further and can support with applications.
