Matty Moore Tai Kwon Do Star
All of Year 7 had the opportunity to hear and see award-winning Tae Kwon Do routines from Matty Moore, an inspirational young man who has overcome his struggles to show that you can achieve great things whilst dealing with a disability. Matty has struggled all of his life with autism and Asperger’s and he was introduced to Tae Kwon Do at the age of 14. Through hard work and determination, Matty has gone from strength to strength and is now a third-degree blackbelt. He was taken part in national and international competitions winning gold, silver and bronze medals. Matty talked to our Year 7 students about how he has learned to live with his brain being wired-up differently and about his struggles with his disability. He was also able to demonstrate his fantastic skills to show what can be achieved with hard work, discipline and determination.
