In Remembrance
All year groups took part in Remembrance Day commemorations this week. Though we could not hold our usual tribute assemblies, students took time to reflect on why we mark Remembrance Day and observed a two-minute silence. Some of our junior representatives of the armed forces and emergency services – Yasmin Tanner and Sheena Lough – laid poppy wreathes in reception. Though times may be difficult now, and we are asked to make small sacrifices ourselves to stay safe, they are small in comparison to the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in service to their country.
