Science Student Electrifies the Judges
A huge well done to Southmoor student Bailey Turner who impressed the judges of the prestigious scientific Cockcroft 120 Challenge! Bailey faced tough competition from fantastic demonstrations involving capacitors, Van de Graff generators, Lichtenberg figures, Tesla coils and more. With entries from school pupils and adult science communicators from as far away as New Zealand, Bailey’s home-made arc generator saw him bag the innovation prize, winning a SparKIT diy Wimshurst kit for use at Southmoor. Well done Bailey!
