Experiencing Blood Brothers
Some of our most enthusiastic drama lovers were treated to a trip to the sunderland Empire to enjoy a matinée performance of Willy Russell’s musical ‘Blood Brothers’. The show revolves around twin boys (Mickey and Edward) who are separated at birth and brought up in completely different environments in Liverpool. The play, set in the 1960s, is divided into two acts, with songs throughout. Students had a wonderful time enjoying this gritty play that highlights some of the social inequalities that are unfortunately still prevalent in today’s society.
