Battlefield Tour
Budding historians visited the First World War battlefields and memorials in Northern France and Belgium. Students were able to immerse themselves into what the conditions would have been like for soldiers during the Great War. Pupils visited key places such as the memorials at Thiepval, Tyne Cot and Note Dame de Lorette. They were also able to visit trenches at battlefields at Vimy Ridge and Dixmuide. During a poignant moment, pupils paid their respects by laying personalised wreaths during the Last Post ceremony at Menin Gate.
