Incubation Station
Southmoor would like to thank Garden Feathers Bird Supplies for making a delivery of 30 just laid chicks eggs. Mr Alf Sermond from the charity spoke to a Year 7 class to share his knowledge and fun facts about eggs, chicks and hens and also answered questions from the pupils.
The chicks are currently in an incubator and are due to hatch on Monday 7th May. Pupils will then enjoy a week of lessons where they will discover and learn more fun facts about eggs and chicks, animal life cycles, the adaptations of organisms for survival and also use the chicks to help explain some aspects of ‘how science works’.
