Celtic Crusaders
On Wednesday, our budding explorers and historians from Geography and History clubs, stepped outside of the classroom and ventured north of the border, to Edinburgh. While there, they visited Dynamic Earth, where they embarked on a journey through time to witness the story of planet Earth. Through a series of interactive exhibits, state of the art technology and a 4D encounter, they experienced the feel of the heat of a bubbling volcano, faced the chill of polar ice and flew across the globe, before crash landing in a tropical rainforest – Phew!
On a calmer note, they then headed to Edinburgh Castle, discovering its rich history, including daring to venture into the prison cells and marvelling at the Royal Palace, as well as viewing some intriguing collections and artefacts, including the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. The pupils are looking forward to injecting some of their newfound knowledge into their club activities back at school.
