On Friday morning, we were delighted to welcome the BAE Systems, RAF and Royal Navy STEM Roadshow into school once again to deliver workshops to Years 7 and 8 students. The theme of the workshops this year was ‘Electricity’. During the workshop, using multimedia and an interactive demonstration, students were able to see a simple circuit being created and explored the pros and cons of different energy sources. They also saw an electrostatic charge being made with the Van de Graaff generator. To finish, pedal power was used to turn the LED windmill to create colourful light displays and animations.
