Creative Careers Workshops with Channel 4
Last week we were delighted to welcome back to school Michael Longhi from 4Schools to deliver an assembly and practical workshops about Creative Careers to all Year 8 students. During the assembly, students had the opportunity to find out about the range of careers involved in TV and broadcasting including not just the roles that are seen on screen but also those behind the scenes such as casting producers, edit producers and grips. Students then took part in a practical workshop where they had the opportunity to explore their own employability skills and how these skills can be used to make a TV programme. These skills included making a dance, swapping a shoe with another student and many more activities. All of our Year 7 and 8 students have now had the opportunity this year to work with Channel 4 to explore creative careers.
