At the start of this school year, our Year 7 pupils used research and investigation to determine how to grow a plant from a seed. This included research and investigation in seed germination and potting. Every Year 7 pupil has now planted an onion set and will hopefully reap the benefit of their knowledge and understanding in the successful growth of their own onion in September 2016.

As well as getting busy down in our garden with onions and hens, up in Science, our Year 7 pupils are also looking after our new arrival of chicks. In addition to caring for their cute fluffy friends, the pupils are also exploring their life cycle, survival skills and producing their very own ‘Chick Diaries’ to record their findings.
