Year 9 Visit PwC
A group of students in Year 9 had the opportunity to spend the day at the Newcastle offices of PwC (Pricewaterhouse Coopers), one of the ‘big 4’ accountancy firms in the world. Students had the privilege of spending the day in the amazing offices which have an amazing view over Newcastle and the River Tyne. During the day, volunteers from PwC worked with our students to give an introduction to the work of PwC, a tour of the offices, and an opportunity for students to complete a series of business challenges to develop their employability skills. These included looking at how to make our school more sustainable, designing their own vending machine and cracking codes. The students were able to experience life in the office and to hear about the day-to-day life of the workers there. An excellent opportunity to raise awareness of what happens in a major worldwide company.
