Aspiring Year 9 medics attended Newcastle University’s ‘MaD Day’ to get a taste of studying medicine and dentistry. They had taster sessions in skeleton science, blood pressure, first aid and optics before meeting Sim Man, a medical robot simulator. Students also visited the children’s wing and learned to brush their teeth effectively before showing their dentistry prowess in winning the Toothy Trivia quiz!
